Highsted Grammar School is proud to report another successful year for students in Year 11 who have received their GCSE results today. There have been strong performances across a range of departments and it is pleasing to note that our students have achieved grades that will enable them to pursue their Post-16 studies at Highsted.
We recognise, in particular, 15 pupils who gained a clean sweep of top grades across 10 or more subjects: Angelique B, Kamilla B, Lucy B, Victoria B, Hope D, Olivia H, Chloe L, Isobel M, Summer McK, Adedolapo O, Ruby P, Matilda P, Yolla S, Katie S and Angelina T.
We are absolutely delighted by all of our students’ achievements and are full of admiration for the dedication they demonstrate to their studies, whilst simultaneously championing the Highsted virtues of community consciousness and empathy. Together with their teachers and parents, students have succeeded in achieving their goals at this important stepping stone to fulfilling and successful careers ahead.

Highsted Grammar School are delighted to report that the Class of 2024 have, once again, maintained the high standard of achievement at A-level. Students continue to show tremendous determination and commitment to their studies with 69% of grades awarded at A*-B. They have strived throughout their Sixth Form to achieve the very top grades across a range of facilitating subjects, with over a third of the cohort grades awarded as A*-A. Our congratulations go to you all.
Exceptional performance of four A*/A grades were awarded to Vanessa A, Eva A, Isabelle B, Julia C, Anna D, Sophie Go, Sophie Gu, Kayla M, Gerda N, Millie P and Zoe W-K.

Despite the continued challenges associated with the last three years, the students have shown tremendous determination and commitment to their studies with 74% of grades awarded at A*-B.
Students have strived to achieved the very top grades across a range of facilitating subjects, with over a third of the cohort grades awarded as A*/A. Exceptional performances of three A*/A grades were awarded to Sienna D, Grace D, Oakleigh F, Bethany F, Alex F, Rosie G, Elena I, Madeline K, Ellie L, Olivia M, Karine M, Neve R, Brooke S, Ria T and Ilana W.

Nationally, lower grades were expected for this year’s A-levels, but once again we are delighted to report that the Class of 2022 have achieved record A-level examination results. Despite the challenges of the last two years, the students have shown tremendous determination and commitment to their studies with 80% of grades awarded at A*-B.
Notably, in a moment of national grade deflation, students have strived to achieved the very top grades across a range of facilitating subjects, with over half of the cohort grades awarded as A*-A. Teachers have consistently identified the year group as exceptionally hardworking and independent in their desire to overcome gaps encountered during sustained periods of disruption, with 20% of grades awarded an A*. Exceptional performances of four A*/A were awarded to Cerys Capon, Emily Chapman, Cerys Evans, Hannah Forster, Maia Fullalove, Emily Jenkins, Freya Jury, Scarlett L, Alice McKenzie, Nancy Morris-Blaney, Chloe O’Brien, Charlotte Patterson, Mia Thomas and Rebecca Wilson.
As a year group, the students have focussed on working together as a community to overcome obstacles presented by isolation. It is fitting and just that this year group has secured the school’s record A-level examination grades. The school are grateful to our teachers and parents who have supported the students in their journey to success, and proud of the outstanding individuals the students have become. We wish them every success in their future careers.

Congratulations to all our A-level students who, after the challenges of the past two years, have deservedly found their place in Highsted history with some truely amazing A-level results. We wish you all the very best of luck in the next stage of your education.
We are particularly delighted to acknowledge a significant number of students pursuing medical careers: Kiruthigaa A, Imani I, Toluwalashe O, Neegar S and Preet S are looking forward to studying medicine in the autumn and Ella G will pursue Pharmacy. Continuing the school’s relationship with Oxford University, Lily B will read French and Linguistics.
This year, following the cancellation of exams, grades were awarded through a process of teacher assessed grades, against a national standard and approved and awarded by the exam boards. The government is not publishing performance data for any schools or colleges this year due to the varying impact of the pandemic.
