Students and staff at Highsted Grammar School are celebrating another year of consistently strong A-level results, with an impressive 73% of all grades awarded at A*/B.

The school is particularly pleased to celebrate exceptional performances in Mathematics, Art and Photography, Biology and English, reflecting the strength and breadth of its Sixth Form provision.

Students are now heading to an impressive range of destinations, including the universities of Cambridge, Oxford, Liverpool and Loughborough. They will study a diverse range of courses, including Medicine, Law, English, History, International Relations and Sport Science. Some students have also been awarded scholarships in recognition of the strength of their applications and achievements.

Assistant Headteacher, Louise Porter-Barnett said: “We are delighted to celebrate the achievements of our students. These results are the culmination of two years of hard work, resilience and determination. A-level study is demanding, and our students have approached that challenge with maturity and ambition. Their results have opened the door to an exciting range of opportunities, from prestigious university courses to scholarships and other competitive pathways. We are grateful to our students’ families for the encouragement and support they have provided throughout their A-level studies and we also acknowledge our teaching and support staff, whose expertise, high expectations and individual guidance have helped our students pursue their ambitions.”

Alongside university study, students will also be progressing to degree apprenticeships, employment and other exciting pathways. Each destination represents an individual success story and reflects the varied talents and aspirations of the Class of 2026.
