The Religious Education (RE) curriculum allows students to build their own identity and understand their culture and the cultures of others. Students’ study of RE provides them with a moral framework as they grow into active and responsible members of the wider community. A Religious Education enquiry poses significant human questions which enable students to appreciate and understand their constantly changing world.
By tackling big questions of identity and belief, we encourage our students to challenge stereotypes, promote cohesion and reject extremism. RE teaches our students to value themselves and the community in which they live.
